Cid Reyes presents his 15th solo exhibition “Splash/Spray” at the West Gallery on August 7. The show is an exploration of paint as agent for energy and emotion.
The artworks investigate the notion that aesthetic vision is altered by the behavior of material, the control of accidents, and temperament of design and composition.
Reyes is also one of the country’s actively writing art critics. He has been the writer of choice by three National Artists, Arturo Luz, Bencab, and J. Elizalde Navarro for their coffeetable books. He is also a recipient of Best in Art Criticism award from the Art Association of the Philippines.
